1st Day: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Erg Chebbi
Our Staff will meet you up depends on where you are: Airport/ Railway station / Hotel / Riad, drive south-eastward through the high rising mountains and the cedar woods of the middle Atlas, passing by Moroccan Switzerland ” IFRAN”, a delightful ski resort and Azrou an outstanding handicraft centre specialized in the work of cedar wood. After the Zad pass (2,178m/7,146ft) you enter in Midelt for lunch. Afternoon you will drive to Erfoud via Errachidia the 1000 Palms of Ziz valley dotted with palm trees. Continuation to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, moving from the road of Paris Dakar, the workshop of fossils, Tent of Berber Nomad who living in the solitude of the Sahara, after continuation to our Hotel located near to the big dunes, dinner and overnight at your hotel.
2nd Day: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Camel trekking:
After breakfast you will start the largest tour of the hills through a couple of Berber villages, you will stop in Khamlia village it’s a traditional homemade of thick clay bricks made from a mixture of clay to experience the live Gnaoua music which is pumped by the locals. Set off to another site you will “live like a nomad” experience the simplistic life through visiting them in their tent. Here, in the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the largest in Morocco, enjoy the panoramic scene of black volcanic rock on the plains, the bright charming blue sky, the green tall palm trees, white crystal clear salt beds, mirages of water, and golden shifting hills. Arrive the remarkable accommodation and spend the 2nd night in the lodge in a Berber tent, and you will be playing the drums with camel men after dinner, overnight in Berber camp.
3rd Day: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades valley – Ouarzazate
You need to wake up early to see the spectacular sunrise when the colour of the rising mountains and the play of shadows are an awesome too see. After having breakfast and shower, we will start another way to Ouarzazate via the huge palm forest of Tafilalet through Rissani, you will stay in Erfoud: famous for its fossilized quartzes where you will tour the workshop production of marble fossils. Continue to Todra Gorges where you will have lunch it’s an excellent place for walking and exploring on your own, After drive to Ouarzazate through Dades valley and the town of roses, Kelaa Mgouna we continue Through the Road of Thousand-Kasbah passing Skoura palm grove until we arrive in Ouarzazate named “Hollywood of Morocco” After visiting the town of Ouarzazate: the Kasbah of Taourirt and cinema studio, then check into your accommodation.
4th Day: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas mountains – Marrakech
In Morning after breakfast, we travel to Aït Benhaddou, a ‘fortified city’, located along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. It is located on a hill along the Ouarzazate River and boasts some fascinating examples of Kasbahs, some of which remain inhabited. Listed UNESCO World Heritage site, the site had been the context for many films including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. After a stop for lunch then proceed to Marrakech over one the highest rising mountain passes of the Atlas, Tizi-n-Tischka (2260 meters). We will relax and drink Moroccan Tea also known as Berber Whisky. After continuous to Marrakech check into your accommodation and this will end our tour.
